TWE Group to raise prices – Nonwovens Industry Magazine

Due to the continuous and constant increase in the costs of raw materials as well as the drastic increase in the costs of energy and transport, the TWE group is forced to increase its prices again. In addition, the persistent negative effects of high inflation also affect the whole economy. Raw material and freight cost increases combined with supply chain disruptions since Q2/2021 have continued with no relief in sight. Due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in Eastern Europe, these costs have actually reached unprecedented levels.

“Although we are doing everything in our power to minimize the impact of these increases, we cannot absorb the additional costs alone and must also pass them on to our customers,” explains Ralf Berens, CCO of the TWE group. “We are constantly working on the efficiency of our productivity, we strive to maintain and guarantee competitive prices, and take permanent measures to avoid further increases where possible.” However, it looks like these higher prices will continue for the foreseeable future. The TWE Group price increases range from 12% to 18%, depending on the product, and will take effect on May 1, 2022.

“Because of these impacts on the commodity and energy markets, which we cannot anticipate, we expect our customers to be understanding,” says Berens.
