Reporting to the CFO, Austenfeld will work closely with the leadership team to design and execute The Honest Company’s investor relations strategy, ensuring that the organization’s strategic plan is articulated within from the investor and analyst community. In her role, Austenfeld will lead investor communications activities and shape messaging, including overseeing relationship management with investor relations partners and key stakeholders, and will work closely with Elizabeth Bouquard, Senior Director of Investor Relations and Strategy, who recently joined the Honest team in September 2021.
Austenfeld previously served as Head of Investor Relations for Gap Inc., where he led investor relations for important strategic initiatives aimed at improving margins and revenue generation, including overseeing and adapting the the company’s investor engagement strategy, as well as leveraging an analyst meeting to communicate its new strategy during the pandemic.
Prior to Gap Inc., Austenfeld was Vice President of Investor Relations for The Clorox Company, where his team led the company’s earnings reporting process, investor engagement practices, and influenced l ‘improved shareholder value. Under his leadership of Investor Relations, shareholder value increased by almost 350% and his team was twice ranked No. 1 by Institutional Investor magazine in the household products, beverage and cosmetics industry. Additional experience at Clorox included senior finance roles at corporate, business unit and country level, on mergers and acquisitions / divestitures, in cost analysis and treasury.
