Jon Moeller Named Chairman of the Board of P&G – Nonwovens Industry Magazine

The Procter & Gamble Company announced that Jon R. Moeller has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2022. Moeller assumes this position in addition to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer following the departure at the retirement of current Executive Chairman David Taylor.

“I want to acknowledge and thank David for his leadership of P&G over the past seven years and for his more than 40 years of service to the company,” said Moeller. “We have a lot to thank him for. Among other things, David is committed to P&G achieving balanced top line and earnings growth, completing the restructuring of our portfolio and leading our organizational change on more important in decades. We are well positioned to continue to serve consumers around the world with substantially superior offerings that make their lives better.

In addition to Moeller’s appointment, the board reappointed Joseph Jimenez as the board’s lead director.

Taylor served as CEO from 2015 to 2021. As Executive Chairman, Taylor led the Board of Directors and provided advice and guidance to the CEO and P&G management on corporate decisions.

Moeller joined P&G in 1988. Before becoming CEO in 2021, he had been an integral part of P&G’s leadership team for more than two decades. Moeller was chief operating officer of P&G, with responsibility for the income statement for P&G’s enterprise markets (Latin America, India, Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe). He also led the company’s investor relations, information technology, global business services, sales, market operations, purchasing, manufacturing and distribution. Prior to COO, he served as CFO of P&G for over 12 years.
